First Dutch lesson for free

TAALkameleon will start a new series of Accelerated Learning Dutch trainings at the beginning of 2017!

Do you want to become a confident Dutch speaker or would you like to improve your Dutch? Join the first lesson for free on Wednesday the 25th of January from 9.15 – 12.15 am at the Anna building behind the St. Vitus church, Sint Vitusstraat 1 in Hilversum.
With the Accelerated Learning Dutch courses we will be moving away from the old-fashioned ways in which you might have learned languages at school. We will be using more exciting, effective and much more fun ways to learn.
In order to achieve more in a shorter period of time, lessons will be longer than the traditional 60 minutes. During each of the sessions a part of the ‘system’ of the language will be explained and subsequently the students will get into action during class through activity based assignments. It is fun, it is exciting, it is effective.
We’d love to share all the information about the way the course is structured, the content that will be covered and what it feels like to be in class for a longer period of time, but really the best way to find out is to experience it.
We’d like to invite you to join us on

To all (native) English Speakers:

To all (native) English Speakers:

To native english speakers

I think that one of the biggest obstacles that limits you in learning Dutch is the fact that the majority of Dutch people speak English. This can be frustrating and demotivating.

Everyone tells me how challenging it is to actually speak Dutch in The Netherlands. Over and over again they try to communicate in Dutch and time after time the conversation changes into English and they feel like they fail. Although quite a few of them became successful Dutch speakers many of them are still struggling.

Are you ready to break the pattern?

How would it feel if you could break away from speaking English and actually move forward with learning Dutch? Would that give you a feeling of success or maybe even relief? I have been teaching Dutch to internationals for quite some time now and  I have come to realize the following. If you want to learn Dutch, the 3 following aspects need to be addressed:
  • the WHY
You need to have a very clear answer to why you want to learn Dutch. Ask yourself in what way your life will change once you can communicate in Dutch. To get the answer, finish this sentence: Communicating in Dutch will enable me to ………  .
  • the SYSTEM
Be aware that the English language system cannot be translated 1 to 1 into Dutch (for example the word order in a sentence). The Dutch system isn’t easier or more difficult. It is just different. Compare it to computers. An iMac and a PC are both computers but they are different.
  • speaking ENGLISH instead of Dutch
Why is it, that often it seems impossible to speak Dutch for more than 5 minutes before the conversation changes into English? It has to do with the fact that 90% of the Dutch population can have at least a basic converstation in English. If the Dutch hardly spoke any English at all, you would have no choice but to speak Dutch.
The good news is that there is a way to break to pattern

Accelerated Learning Dutch

In the Accelerated Learning Dutch courses these three aspects (and more) are being addressed.
  • Would you like to get insight in to why it is more difficult for you to learn Dutch than another language?
  • Do you want to know why learning Dutch can improve your life?
  • Do you want to understand the system of the language?
  • Would you like to learn strategies to overcome the obstacles you face?
  • Are you interested in tools you can use to learn Dutch?
  • Are you interested in exercises that you can use immediately?
I’d love to you show you how it works and I’d like to invite you to Click here for more information or registration for an INTRODUCTION session of 2,5 hours

The best way to learn a language

The best way to learn a language

Sitting and watching a game of tennis doesn’t really make you a tennis player. You may know a lot about the game but the best way to learn to play tennis is… to play tennis. And that is exactly what you need to do when learning a foreign language.

Language Education

I have learned English and Spanish the ‘traditional way’. With grammar books and sitting and listening to my teachers. It was alright but lots of it wasn’t very enjoyable.
After travelling around the world and working in the tourism field I came back home to The Netherlands. I started working as a teacher in secondary schools, higher education and language schools. I realised that most educational organisations don’t use the best way to learn. Often it was boring and tiring.

Accelerated Learning

So I started my own educational organisation: TAALkameleon. I set it up, got my first clients, I used exercises and formats to motivate my students to actively use the language. And I became good at it. I had very satisfied customers, but I felt something was still missing…. I had not found the key to ‘the best way to learn’ yet.
I joined a course on Accelerated Learning and I saw the light! I found the key to the best way to learn: Accelerated Learning!
I was inspired and I started changing my way of teaching. Based on the insights I got, I made an action list and step by step I implemented the actions. To cut a long story short…. This was the beginning of the trainings Accelerated Learning Dutch.

Accelerated Learning has one aim only: to get results!

The major principles of Accelerated Learning are:
  • Total learner involvement
  • Active creation of knowledge
  • collaboration among learners
  • activity-centered learning
It’s a fun, innovative and effective way of learning Dutch.
But to be honest, there are different ways of learning a language. Especially nowadays with lots of free online courses and (fantastic) vocab apps. You can listen, read and learn a lot…
But nothing… NOTHING compares to the impact and value that you can get from a (good) LIVE training session:
  • A real trainer can share experiences and provides you with effective learning strategies
  • A real trainer helps you understand the blueprint of the language and enables you to use the system
  • During a live training questions can be answered immediately
  • There is ‘real time’ interaction with co-learners
  • A trainer helps you get valuable insights and to formulate actions
Are you curious?
For € 29,00 you can join the training ‘Accelerated Learning Dutch The Introduction’ to find out for yourself. I invite you to grab this opportunity.

Finally

The Accelerated Learning Dutch trainings are for action oriented people only. Don’t expect miracles without having to do a thing. To be successful you need to get into action. So when it comes to learning a new language start by focussing on the most frequently used words in Dutch.
